The Family Centre’s Christmas donations appeal 2022

The Family Centre is a small charity based in Fieldway, New Addington.  Their mission is to support and strengthen families & children so they can improve the health, educational, social and employment aspects of their lives.

They do this by raising aspirations, creating opportunities and empowering individuals, families and the hard-to-reach with a ‘can do’ attitude.

In order to realise their mission the Family Centre, working in partnership with voluntary and statutory agencies, makes available a range of services that target individuals and families who are less likely to engage with mainstream provision, with the aim of developing skills, confidence, self-esteem and above all, resilience.

Julia Weeler, the CEO of The Family Centre, says,

Warm Space at St Paul’s, South Croydon, on Thursday afternoons – 3.30-6.30pm

St Paul’s URC is opening up its halls on Thursday afternoons to welcome local people to share their warm space.

On Sunday 30th October from 11am to 4pm at the Wilderness garden, MHA Communities South London is hosting a fundraising event to support MHA’s aim at tackling loneliness and isolation in vulnerable older adults and to celebrate Black History Month by recognising the contributions that Black people make to the UK every day.
