The cat killer – description of the person thought to be linked to the case

An important update from SNARL

The suspect is a white male with dark brown hair, in his forties, with a pock marked or scarred face. He has no discernible accent.

He has been seen at a number of locations with variously, a head lamp, a torch, a backpack and a large man bag, approaching cats with food and/or toys and making “kissing noises”.

If seen approaching animals, or looking in people’s gardens or under vehicles, please dial 999 and report under Operation Takahe and then call Tony & Boudicca of SNARL on 07961 030064 or 07957 830490.

If you find a mutilated animal or body parts, please dial 101 and report under Operation Takahe and then also call Boudicca and Tony.

Dying well takes planning – call for volunteers in Croydon

The Creating Conversations in Croydon project, commissioned by Croydon CCG, seeks to work with community groups with the aim of helping everyone have a good death by recording their End Of Life Wishes.

The project has specially trained volunteers who seek to encourage local people to feel more comfortable about talking openly about death and dying.

Volunteers give talks, workshops, presentations and facilitate Death Cafes within the London Borough of Croydon to help break down this silence around death and give the people of Croydon a voice and to start thinking, talking, planning and recording their wishes.

FREE training for volunteers

The next round of training is now available. Could you commit to four days of free training and join the team of volunteers, delivering this programme?

Training will take place on Tuesdays from 9am to 4pm in central Croydon on September 12, 19, 26 and October 3.

Click here for full details and an application form.

You can also contact Carol Trower for more information by emailing

Why is this project important?

Spending a short time now thinking about what you’d like to happen on the event of your death, writing your will and discussing your funeral wishes with your family can allow you to get back to the important things in life like spending time with family and friends, building good memories and even plan a bucket list.
