Help Purley Food Hub in June 2017

PFH logoPurley Food Hub is a registered charity, keen to receive donations to support their work.

It serves people in need in Croydon, not just the immediate Purley area.

Purley Food Hub appreciates the generous food donations received from community groups, churches and schools and individuals to support their work.

Purley Food Hub thanks everyone for their ongoing support and reports,

“A busy May included three consecutive sessions in the past fortnight (two Wednesdays and a Saturday) when in total we provided food for 140 people – at 3 meals a day for 3 days for each one, that’s 1,260 meals provided in these three sessions alone.

Last Wednesday’s 15 clients included two with 5  family members, one with 6, two with 7 and one with 8, and the total of 56 people fed was the most in any May session since the Food Hub opened in 2013. Some 500 meals were provided that morning alone, and this coming Wednesday we will pass 85,000 meals overall.

As Ivanka Lennon, our Chair of Trustees, said immediately after last Wednesday’s session: ‘

Some very sad stories and one worrying one…and that’s just the clients who I talked to. The chats with clients really help uncover ways we can pray and help and sign post! What a great God we have who has nurtured and provided for PFH…I am very thankful to God that PFH has been here to help so many today.’

With kind regards and our considerable thanks for CCC’s continued support.”
