Send your message of peace to Croydon Peace Tree for International Peace Day – 21 Sept 2023

The Croydon Peace Tree project was started back in August 2012.
Messages of peace for International Peace Day, which is marked on 21 September each year, were collected from people in Croydon, a year after the London riots in 2011. #NoVoteNoVoice – London comes together to raise awareness about changes to the voting

Are YOU registered to vote, and do you have the required ID?

The Elections Act (2022) has brought unprecedented changes to our voting rights, but the first step remains unchanged – register to vote.

London Voter Registration Week (LVRW) 2023 is part of a strictly non-political, impartial, non–election–specific project, funded and supported by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to encourage voter registration.

This is why CCC joins the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Shout Out UK this London Voter Registration Week (LVRW)18-24 September 2023) to help under-represented and under-registered Londoners access their right to vote.

Now in its fifth year, LVRW continues to raise awareness about who can vote and how to vote,
including anonymous registration for those concerned about their name and address appearing on the electoral register. It will also inform about the steps to apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate for the Londoners who do not have any accepted form of photo Voter ID.

The campaign is run in coordination and collaboration with the Electoral Commission, all London borough electoral services and a broad civil society coalition to address the equalities impact of the Elections Act (2022), especially the introduction of mandatory photo ID to vote and upcoming changes to postal and proxy voting.

Make sure you have the right info.
