Public meeting – Thursday, 7 Dec 2023, via Zoom – Croydon’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy

Join us to have your say on Croydon’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2024-2029

Croydon residents are being asked to help shape a plan for how the council can best use its resources to reduce and prevent homelessness and rough sleeping in the borough.

Croydon Council is consulting on Croydon’s Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2024-2029, which will outline how the council will manage its housing supply, provide early intervention to help those in need before they reach crisis point, minimise the use of temporary accommodation, and work with partners to tackle rough sleeping. Join the meeting to hear from council officers and feed in your views.

We will be joined by Simon James and Hamid Khan, who will take us through all the factors being considered to inform the priorities identified, the broad themes based on key findings and the proposed actions to address these.

Your responses will help form the final version of the strategy and build upon the work the council has undertaken to listen and involve residents in the transformation of the housing service.

Arrangements
The meeting will open five or so minutes early to allow all to join in good time for a prompt start at 7pm.

Please ensure you are logged into your Zoom account (this could be a free account) in order to join. Please display your name.

The meeting will be recorded, as usual, to allow for notes to be taken by the organisers.  The committee may also take a photo or two. This is a condition of booking.

The meeting will close at 8.30 pm.
