Anyone is welcome to join this event which is the sixth ‘Local Community Partnerships meeting in the Croydon North-East Locality’, (which includes the Thornton Heath and South Norwood communities, as well as parts of Upper Norwood and Crystal Palace)

Wednesday 23rd February, 10am – 12.30pm.

The event will be in-person at the New Community Space, next door to ‘Little Engines’ Day Nursery, 1a Cargreen Road, South Norwood, SE25 5AD – only a one-minute walk from Norwood Junction Train Station.

This will be a ‘face-to-face’ Local Community Partnerships event.

Although there will also be an online option available, the organisers would really like as many people as possible to come together in this community-based venue and enjoy all the benefits of ‘in-person’ interaction.

What’s on the agenda?
As well as hearing from Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations and getting updates on any new opportunities, there will be an even stronger focus on three key locality themes identified by this locality’s group:

  • People in their later life
  • Tackling and reducing violence against young people
  • People struggling to maintain positive mental wellbeing

Small group discussion groups will be looking to identify outcomes related to these themes and develop associated, locality-specific Community Plans.

The participants skills, expertise and local knowledge will be key to the success of work related to these themes. As always, Active Citizens, VCS organisations and colleagues from the Council, Health and from all key organisations are strongly encouraged to attend to ensure that this partnership working is as inclusive, strong and representative as possible.

This will be the first Local Community Partnership event where newly elected Co-chairs, Magdalene and Nicole, will be facilitating the event. Magdalene and Nicole both live in communities within the North-East Croydon Locality and are keen to use their local knowledge,  experience and love of community to support the community planning process.
