What do Faiths say about War? Faiths Together in Croydon event on 12 March, 6.30pm for 7-9pm

Faiths Together in Croydon (FTiC) is holding an event which is open to everyone, of all faiths and none.

Come and hear from faith leaders.

FTiC would also like to hear stories of family members who may have had to fight in the First and Second World War – this will form part of an exhibition in November 2018.

The meeting takes place on 12 March 2018 at CVA Resource Centre, 82 London Road, Croydon CR0 2TB.

Doors open at 6.30pm.

‘Faith Togetherness’ photography competition run by Faiths Together in Croydon, open to everyone!

Faiths Together in Croydon is holding a photography competition and YOU are invited to participate!

The theme is ‘Faith Togetherness’.

The competition will be judged by a panel of professional photographers and all the photographs will be used in an exhibition during Interfaith Week in November 2017. There are also plans to use the best twelve photographs in a calendar for 2018.

Age categories are:

  • 5-10 years
  • 11-18 years
  • Adults – 19 upwards

The closing date for entries is 30 September, 2017.

Join Croydon’s Interfaith bike ride and picnic in the park – 9 July 2017

The Faiths Together in Croydon (FTiC) annual picnic and bike ride will be held on July 9 in 2017, in association with Croydon Council and BoxPark.

This year the Council are supporting this special Big Get Together event  to show that we #WeStandTogether

A continuation of the Croydon Cyclefest, this is Faiths Together in Croydon’s third inter-faith bike ride and picnic.

This cycle ride through Croydon visits several of our diverse sites of worship before joining a dedicated Big Get Together picnic in the Park Hill Park. It’s a great opportunity to bring our community together, young and old, to promote diversity and equality.

Everyone is welcome to take part in the interfaith bike ride, to see the riders off from Boxpark Croydon, and to join the interfaith picnic which runs from 2-5pm at Park Hill Park in central Croydon.

The ride will be led by professional cycling instructors who will safeguard the ride. Rides will depart promptly as follows:

10am – Starting point for Group A: Croydon Arena, SE25 4QL for a route safety briefing

10:30am – start riding!

10:30am – Starting point for Group B: Boxpark, CR0 1LD.

Respect – An event run by Faiths Together in Croydon on May 24, open to all!

Faiths Together in Croydon is hosting an event on respect,  and YOU are invited…

The event is being held on Wednesday 24 May 2017 at St Mary’s High School, from 5-7pm.

The event is open to everyone – people of all ages and of all faiths or none.

Save the date! Croydon Interfaith bike ride and picnic – 9 July 2017

The Faiths Together in Croydon (FTiC) annual picnic and bike ride will be on July 9 in 2017.

FTiC is working on another bike ride route leading to the picnic. They hope that you and your families will be able to come along and meet FTiC and other people of faith in Croydon.

On May 18th, the bike races are coming to Croydon again and FTiC is looking for 6 people to ride for Faiths Together in the Mayor’s race. This is one lap of the circuit at about 3.30pm. If you think you could be there for FTiC, please email faithstogetherincroydon@gmail.com

What is Peace? – An event run by Faiths Together in Croydon, open to everyone!

Faiths Together in Croydon is hosting an event to explore what peace means to different faiths, organisations, groups and individuals and YOU are invited…

The event is being held on Tuesday 15 November 2016 in the hall to the rear of St Michael’s in Poplar Walk. (The entrance is through the metal gate to the left of the church which faces onto the exit from the Whitgift car park by M&S.)

Light refreshments will be served from 6.30pm after registration, with the event running from 7-9pm.
