Reporting issues in Croydon – My Croydon app withdrawn

It appears that the My Croydon app is being phased out and will be replaced in the coming weeks.  Some residents have received the following information:

Due to the ongoing situation with the weather and in the interests of safety the committee has taken the decision to postpone this meeting.  The meeting will be rescheduled for a future date.

The Croydon Local Plan (& the London Plan) – The final Inspector’s report was published in January and the new Croydon Local Plan is due to be adopted this month. What are the implications for Croydon? Read a summary of the main alterations and the final report here.

Cllr Paul Scott and Cllr Jason Perry have been invited to attend to speak at the meeting or to arrange a fellow councillor to attend on their behalf.

The closing date for the new draft London Plan is Friday 2 March, so make sure you have your say as this will affect Croydon. Details here.

If time allows, the rest of the meeting will be devoted to any subject offered for discussion or notice that people attending wish to raise.

Our meetings are open to all and are strictly apolitical.


Doors open at 7pm, when tea and coffee will be available and you’ll have the chance to meet and chat with others attending. We’ll have local information on display for you to take away.

The meeting will start by 7.30pm, ideally earlier.

There will be brief introductions and notices.

Invited speakers will then speak and take questions.

If time allows, the meeting will then be open for you to share your views, offer a notice or propose a topic for discussion, with priority given to those suggested prior to the meeting.

The meeting will finish by 9pm. If possible, we endeavour to finish slightly earlier to allow people to chat after the meeting and for clearing away.

Getting there:
There is no general parking available at this venue, but its central location with good transport links. We may be able to cater for blue badge holders, so please get in touch well ahead of the event if this applies to you.

The hall is to the rear of the Church, accessed through the gate in the fencing to the left of the main Church entrance.

Wednesday 26th April 2017 is the date for the next Ward Panel Meeting.  As ever, the meeting will commence at 6pm and will be held at Parchmore Rd SNT Base on the corner of Brigstock Rd and Parchmore Rd.

The meeting will be for the team to provide an update as to how things are progressing on the ward, as well as giving you an opportunity to discuss any issues that you would like to raise with the team.  We will also be reviewing the current ward priorities and promises, discussing some big changes to the way in which the team engages with you all on various social media platforms, and you will also get the chance to meet our new sergeant A/PS Tom White.

Croydon Debate Club launch! Flytipping is the focus for the first meeting on 23 November

Something new for Croydon…. the launch of Croydon Debate Club!

The organisers write,

“The aim of the Croydon Debate Club is to promote a constructive dialogue on issues specific to Croydon. The emphasis will be on understanding the issue and the options that there are to address it.”

The first event is at Matthews Yard on 23 November from 8pm and focusses on debating the issues relating to flytipping in Croydon and possible solutions.
