Croydon CCG reduces options to just three for urgent care services

NHS Croydon Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is seeking views on Urgent Care.

Although the public meetings and drop-in sessions have not yet started, the CCG has just reduced the original eight options, plus the additional proposed option put forward by the Residents’ Associations in the south of the borough, down to just three options.

See: Croydon urgent care doc for the details currently available.

The CCG are asking you to vote on these options, prior to any public discussion, via a short survey which you can view here:

This survey will be open until at least 17 January 2016 when the CCG finishes consulting.  This is after all these meetings and events take place. It would, therefore, be wise to hold off responding to the survey until more is known of these options and other points are considered in order to inform your decision.

In the public events to follow you will have a chance to hear and consider the options in detail, to ask questions about them and to hear the views and questions raised by other people at these meetings.

The CCC committee are in conversation with the CCG regarding holding a public meeting in central Croydon on the subject of Urgent Care in the first week in January and the dates have been pencilled in.

The committee will be confirming details and posting notice of this meeting next week.

This meeting will offer the ideal opportunity to have a cross-borough discussion on the issues and options, and to raise any final points prior to the CCG closing their consultation.

  1. I think Mayday should be closed and new urgent care centre with accident and emergency located in new sites Croydon Central, Purley Fields or nearer to Lloyds in Coombe Road. The new Purley memorial should then be turned into a new GP hub/clinic all allied health professionals in one place for outpatients treatment and out of hours GP services. Two similar hubs across other sites in the borough to meet local needs.
