Updated list of organisations
CCC are building up a current list of Residents’ Associations and groups, as well as a list of conservation and park groups as the council does not hold a current list of either of these. All were asked to help build the lists with details so people wanting to find a group, can do so.

The programme of works by Waddon Community Outreach based at St George’s was highlighted.  More details shortly but the variety of events are listed in the link and the photo in this post.  Take a look!

CCC is also building a list of Patient Participation Groups (PPGs). See: https://croydoncc.wordpress.com/2015/05/07/croydons-patient-participation-groups/

The interim report of Croydon’s Opportunity and Fairness Commission is out. It is high colour and CCC requested a print only version. This has now been produced, although not available on the website as yet. It is still lengthy though at 44 pages.  A copy was made available at the meeting.

The Commission will also be uploading an extra section, including methodology appendix.

Specialist Asthma Nurses
Support at home is available from a new community-based specialist paediatric nursing team. All were encouraged to pass the information on to anyone who might benefit.

Local Policing update
The local policing team were not on duty but have offered to meet to discuss any issues that arose.

Local Policing newsletters
The latest local policing newsletter was not available to offer out but this would be pursued with the SNT.

Residents were encouraged to sign up to these monthly ward newsletters and occasional updates, sent out via email, by emailing a request to their local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) for the area.  In the case of Waddon it is waddon.snt@met.police.uk.

MPS Waddon on Twitter
PC Price advises that the team are now on Twitter. Follow @MPSWaddon.

Waddon Safer Neighbourhoods Crime Survey
This is open to canvass the views of residents in Waddon. Find it at http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/5LZ7T/

Quarterly survey
Waddon SNT is also looking for people to participate in a brief quarterly online survey regarding crime and policing in the area. All responses are anonymous and the first survey goes out this month.

If anyone is interested in getting involved, please email PC Luke Price on luke.price@met.pnn.police.uk

Reducing vehicle crime
The CCC committee also mentioned that all teams are currently circulating advice on steps to take to reduce vehicle crime. Simple measures such as remembering to lock vehicles and not leaving valuables in cars, were amongst the simple but effective ideas that help keep vehicle crime down. It was noted that one Croydon SNT had reported only that day that a vehicle window had been smashed for the loose change of only £3.50!

A hard copy of the information was made available to take away and a copy can be downloaded on the link above.

Croydon Healthwatch
The annual report and flyers were made available and their work promoted. Croydon Healthwatch needs to hear of the patient experience to equip them with a sound evidence base.
