Croydon consults on 20 mph speed limits – Area 1 – Croydon North – open to 24 June. Have your say!

20 mph limits are being proposed on the majority of roads because Croydon Council believes that,

“evidence has demonstrated clear benefits from lowering speed limits in residential areas, including:

  • improvement in road safety

  • discouraging passing through traffic

  • encouraging walking and cycling

  • improving the local environment.”
