As is the case with all our general public meetings, the body of this meeting will be open, with no set agenda.

The topics discussed will be led by those attending.*

Come along with information, notices or updates you’d like to share, topics you’d like discussed, or just come along to listen and have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion.

*Topics for discussion
In response to demand, we are inviting people to suggest topics for discussion to kick off the meeting. Please add a comment on this post to indicate a topic of interest. There will still be plenty of opportunities to raise a topic for discussion or highlight a notice on the night.

Councillors, council officers and the Croydon Met Police are invited to our meetings.

UPDATE 21/5/15

Inspector Claire Robbins has confirmed that she and Chief Inspector Peter McGarry will be joining our meeting. They will provide a short update and are happy to take questions from the floor.

If you have a question and want to post it up prior to the meeting, please do so below.

Some will be aware of criticism of our activities and of our committee members by ‘West Croydon Voice’.

We have invited the group/individual to submit a paper for discussion, outlining all points and questions they wish to raise, and to attend to speak to this item.

Similarly, if you have any question about our activities, please feel free to suggest it now or table it on the night.

Please book a free place on Eventbrite here:
This helps us to cater for numbers and ensures that we can start the meeting promptly.

Parking and access:

If you are arriving by car please use the car park through the main gates.  The doors to the hall, where we will be holding the meeting, will be open, so easy to locate.

There is a ramp for access and disabled toilet facilities.

Doors open at 7pm, when tea and coffee will be available and you’ll have the chance to meet others attending.

We will aim to start the meeting at 7.20pm and aim to finish early to allow those attending to network and for us to vacate the venue by 9pm.

Those who have not pre-booked will be asked to register on the door and those who have pre-booking will be given preference if numbers exceed capacity.

  1. Question submitted via email from a person booked to attend:

Are officers of the Coulsdon Safer Neighbourhood team(s) still required to report in person at the beginning and end of their shifts at New Addington Police station? If so, how can this situation be justified as it must represent the unproductive use of a significant part of their working day.

  3. TfL plans to cut trams from New Addington to Wimbledon, with many turning in East Croydon.

How will this suit local travel?

Croydon Council wants 20mph limits everywhere on council roads. Is this a good idea?

  4. Small lorry parking Homestead Way and effect on access and road safety. This relates to proposed bus changes which seem to be going ahead regardless of public feeling. Also parking provision for sheltered housing Beech and Cedar Houses Fieldway
