Chairperson sought by Healthwatch Croydon CEO & The Board
Healthwatch Croydon is the consumer champion for local health and social care services. They engage with the public to gather their views and experiences of local health and social care and use this information to help shape local services. They have a remit which is far reaching in being able to influence, signpost and advise the public regarding a range of NHS, public health and social care services.
This year Healthwatch Croydon have embarked on an ambitious strategy to increase their scope and profile as an organisation. Part of this has involved an organisational restructure and a move to a charity model. They are now looking for a Chairperson to head up the Board of Trustees.
Unremunerated (with travel expenses paid)
As well as having the passion and drive to make a difference to health and social care services in Croydon, you will need the right mix of proven experience at a strategic level and enthusiasm for a new challenge. You will also have a track record of achieving change through influence and be able to provide the governance and leadership we need to achieve our goals.
The key tasks include –
- Providing leadership and direction to the Board of Trustees so as to enable the board to fulfil their responsibilities for the overall governance and strategic direction of the organisation.
- To work with the Chief Executive to ensure Healthwatch Croydon is managed efficiently, effectively and in line with its constitutional and statutory obligations, its code of conduct and best practice.
- Attending strategic level meetings representing Healthwatch Croydon.
